Funded Programs

 KIDS Program- UDMO

The KIDS Program is available to all families in Clay, Dickinson, O’Brien, and Osceola counties who have children prenatal to age 5, without regard to income guidelines.  KIDS supports and assists parents in their most important role as parents during this crucial stage of their child’s development.

KIDS offers home visits by trained staff who actively partner with parents to develop goals and services to respond to the parents’ questions and concerns.  KIDS staff offer periodic screenings for each child using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire to ascertain developmental information, then offer practical ways to encourage learning, manage behavior, develop routines, and build strong parent-child relationships.

KIDS Family Support Workers are knowledgeable regarding community resources and often refer families to other programs and agencies as needed.

For more information please contact Jessie Hansen, KIDS Coordinator/Supervisor at 712-363-8466; 407 E 3rd St. Spencer, IA 51301
